KD-Partners Advisory is a national Business Brokerage and Business Valuation firm serving clients in greater New England and across the country.

The firm’s principals and affiliates have extensive experience in marketing, selling and valuing business in manufacturing, distribution, technology, healthcare, education and business services. Our typical client’s range in revenue from $3-$50 million. Depending on the size of the client, the expected acquiror and potential value of the company we apply either a business brokerage direct marketing approach or a Merger & Acquisition approach intended to create a competitive auction for the business to optimize sales price. In each case, we provide concise, transparent confidential information regarding your business to selected, qualified, interested buyers to support a seamless sale process culminating in a transaction. The firm is a member in of the International business Brokers Association (IBBA) and M&A Source.

Our business valuation practice certified business valuation to our clients for exit planning, estate planning, partner and family matters. We also provide litigation support services in these matters.

The firm is a member of the National Association of Valuators and Appraisers (NACVA).

Kevin Dougherty, Managing Partner

Kevin is an M&A executive with over 35 years’ experience advising and operating businesses, providing clients support in strategy, diligence and post-merger integration. Kevin has executed strategies for companies through a relentless focus on client service, managed cost and operating controls and merger and acquisition.

Kevin leads KD-Partners Advisory. His practice focuses on sell side transactions ranging from $3-$50 million in revenue. In addition, the practice provides certified valuation services to price businesses for sale, partner disputes, buy/sell agreements and litigation support. The practice also provides strategy and operations consulting services for client’s pre-and post-transaction.

Previously, Kevin led the turnaround of systems integration firm as CEO. The company was a Welsh Carson Anderson and Stowe portfolio company. He developed and executed a strategic plan which changed the company’s risk profile, cost structure and price points through a focus on vertical markets, client delivery and outsourcing.

Kevin also served as a CEO for a third-party software development company as CEO. The company was an ABS Capital portfolio company. At that company, Kevin transformed the company to a professional services firm and grew revenue 115% over an 18-month period.

Prior to serving in CEO roles Kevin was an Officer and partner at AT Kearney, a global management consulting firm where he co-led the mid-Atlantic and Northeast region.

Before AT Kearney, Kevin was a senior partner at Coopers & Lybrand Consulting (PWC) where he led both the Financial Management and Business Transformation practices.

Kevin holds an MBA in Finance from Fordham University and is a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) and Certified Merger & Acquisition Intermediary (CMAI).
